Chongqing Gangcheng Middle School (formerly Chongqing Iron and Steel No.1 Middle School) was founded in 1963. In 1997, the factory and school separated and became a public school. The school is the only one in Dadukou District that all students can be promoted to a university, and it is one of the first large-scale joint recruitment schools for high school students in the city.
