Chongqing Qiujing High School was listed as "the first batch of key middle schools in Sichuan Province" in 1981 and "the first batch of key middle schools in Chongqing" in 1999. In 1891, the school was founded by the American Christian MEM Association and initially named "Chongqing Qiujing School"; In 1929, it was renamed "Chongqing Private School for Excellence"; In 1951, it was changed into a public school and named "Chongqing Qiujing Middle School".
