Chongqing 203 Middle School was founded in 1961. It was originally the 203 Middle School of the state-owned Jiangling Machinery Factory. It is the junior middle school of the state-owned Jiangling Machinery Factory. The school is located at the north end of Shimen Bridge, Jialing River, Dashiba, Jiangbei District, Chongqing. The school covers an area of 11227 square meters. The school is a full-time high school and a demonstration school for parents in Jiangbei District, which has a considerable impact on the national military industry system and Chongqing.
On August 2, 1961, with the approval of Jiangbei District People's Committee, it was named Chongqing 203 Junior High School. In 1969, during the Cultural Revolution, the middle school set up a reform committee, and the school was renamed 203 middle school of the state-owned Jiangling Machinery Factory. In 1995, Jiangling Machine Factory and Chang'an Machine Manufacturing Factory merged to establish Chang'an Automobile Co., Ltd. The children's schools of the original two factories were under the leadership of the Company's Education Department, and the school was renamed as the No. 1 Staff Children's Middle School of Chang'an Automobile Co., Ltd. ("Chang'an No. 1 Middle School" for short). In 2000, with the deepening of reform, the school has recruited students from the society. With the approval of Southwest Military Industry Bureau and Chang'an Company, the school was restored to No. 203 Middle School of Chang'an Automobile (Group) Co., Ltd. On May 18, 2001, Chongqing Chang'an Group Corporation and Jiangbei District Education Commission agreed through consultation and the Jiangbei District People's Government approved the joint education of 203 Middle School and Dashiba Vocational School. The campus of 203 Middle School is the school headquarters and junior high school campus, and the campus of Dashiba Vocational Middle School is the high school campus.
