Chongqing Tibet Middle School, founded in 1985, is the only senior high school in Chongqing that focuses on Tibetan education and combines Tibetan and Han schools. It undertakes the political mission of educating Tibet and cultivating builders and successors for Tibet's economic and social development. The campus covers an area of more than 80 mu, with a construction area of nearly 40000 square meters. At present, there are 129 teaching staff, including 6 Tibetan teachers, 108 full-time teachers, 29 senior teachers, 51 intermediate teachers, 10 urban level backbone teachers, and 1 district level discipline leader. There are 25 teaching classes, including 22 Tibetan classes. There are 1060 students in school, including 866 Tibetan students.
