Wenfeng Primary School in Nan'an District, Chongqing is located at No. 80, Wenfeng Main Street, Nanshan Street, Nan'an District, Chongqing. It was founded in 1941, formerly known as Laochang Primary School. The first principal was Liu Haizhong. In 1950, it was renamed Xianfeng Primary School. Wenfeng Primary School reached its peak in the mid-1950s due to the popularization of compulsory primary education by the state, with 19 classes, 800 students and 35 teaching staff. In the 1960s, during the "Cultural Revolution", the school was renamed as No. 52 Primary School. After the "Cultural Revolution", Chen Deyuan served as the principal and was renamed as Wenfeng Primary School. In 1986, the school built a new teaching building with the support of the Education Committee of Nan'an District. The next year, the school renovated its playground, and the teaching environment has been greatly improved and developed.
Since then, the school has entered a stage of stable development. In 2005, Wenfeng Primary School covered an area of 3906 square meters, with a building area of 2452 square meters. The school has 14 ordinary classrooms, in addition, it is equipped with a dedicated computer network classroom (equipped with 50 Lenovo computers), a multi-functional classroom, an art classroom, a music classroom, a natural laboratory and a library. The school's teaching instruments, audio-visual equipment, teaching materials and books have all reached the relevant national standards. In 2017, the school had 14 classes, about 550 students, and 23 teaching staff, of which 70% were teachers with college degree or above, 7 had senior teacher titles in primary schools, and 15 were primary school teachers. Many people were rated as municipal and district backbone teachers.
