Chongqing No.8 Middle School (hereinafter referred to as Chongqing No.8 Middle School), formerly known as Shuren Middle School, was founded in 1938. Ten years later, it became one of the "three famous schools" in Chongqing, which was taken over by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government in 1952. It was changed into a public school, renamed as a public school, and renamed as "Chongqing No.8 Middle School". In September 1958, the school was renamed "Chongqing Normal University High School". In June 1971, the school was renamed "Chongqing No. 8 Middle School".
