Chongqing No. 48 Middle School, founded in 1956, is an ordinary senior high school with a history of more than 50 years. It is a joint recruitment school in Chongqing. The school is located at the picturesque eastern foot of Jinyun Mountain, beside the Chongqing Hefei Expressway and the Beiqing High grade Highway, adjacent to Southwest University and Beibei Administrative Center, with convenient transportation, elegant environment and strong cultural atmosphere. The school has more than 30 perennial teaching classes and more than 2000 teachers and students. With the joint efforts of all teachers and students, the teaching effect has been remarkable in recent years, and the online rate of college entrance examination has been continuously improved.

From 2004 to 2007, it has achieved good results in the national Olympic math, physics, chemistry and English competitions. 123 people have won awards respectively, and 15 teachers have won the "outstanding instructor" award.
