The Third Primary School of Xipeng Town, Jiulongpo District, Chongqing, formerly known as Yuanming Township Primary School of Ba County, was founded in 1926.

The original address was Yuwang Temple, Yuanming Street (now the school address of Xipeng No.3 Middle School). In 1971, it moved to Wanshou Palace, Yuanming Street, and in 1985, it moved to Group 20, Yuanming Village (now the school address). In 1994, it was merged into Xipeng Town, and renamed as "the third primary school in Xipeng Town, Ba County". In 1995, Xipeng Town was incorporated into Jiulongpo District, and renamed as "the third primary school in Xipeng Town, Jiulongpo District, Chongqing", referred to as "the third primary school in Xipeng Town" for short, In July 2007, the first batch of boarding primary schools in the west of Jiulongpo District was built, and in October, it was approved as the first batch of pilot schools for urban and rural planning in Jiulongpo District, under the integrated management of Xiejiawan Primary School, and became the experimental school for teaching reform of Xiejiawan Primary School. The school once set up a central school and 13 village schools, serving about 25000 people. After many times of optimization and integration, all students are now merged into the central school, and the village primary school has suspended the enrollment of primary school students (only Yingxin Village Primary School has one preschool class).
