Introduction to Chongqing Qiujing Middle School


Chongqing Qiujing High School was listed as "the first batch of key middle schools in Sichuan Province" in 1981 and "the first batch of key middle schools in Chongqing" in 1999. In 1891, the school was founded by the American Christian MEM Association and initially named "Chongqing Qiujing School"; In 1929, it was renamed "Chongqing Private School for Excellence"; In 1951, it was changed into a public school and named "Chongqing Qiujing Middle School". In 1952, the former Chongqing No. 6 Middle School, Youth Association Middle School, Tonghui Middle School and Shude Girls' School were incorporated into the school, which was renamed as "Chongqing No. 6 Middle School" in the same year; In 1953, Ganjiang Middle School was incorporated; In 1955, the school was renamed as "No. 6 Middle School of Chongqing, Sichuan Province"; In 1956, Fudan Middle School and Chongqing No. 12 Middle School were merged into the High School Department when they moved to another school; In 1964, Zengjiayan Middle School was incorporated. In 1998, the school was renamed "Chongqing Qiujing Middle School".
