Chongqing People's Primary School, founded in 1945, was formerly known as the Cadre Children's School of Shanxi Hebei Shandong Henan Military Region, and later went south to Chongqing with Liu Deng's army, renamed as the People's Primary School of the Southwest Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. Marshal Liu Bocheng named the school and wrote the school motto. Marshal He Long was the first president of the school, and Ms. Zhuo Lin, the wife of Comrade Deng Xiaoping, was the first president.

Ms. Zhuo Lin, the wife of Comrade Deng Xiaoping, was the first president. Su Dong, the wife of the director of the Policy Research Office of the Southwest Bureau, was the political associate councilman. The school board of directors was established. Marshal He Long was the chairman. In October 1950, the school was forced to choose another school site because of the construction of the General Office of the Southwest Bureau, rented the school buildings of private missionary schools, and changed its name to the People's Primary School directly under the Southwest Military Region. All the children of the cadres of the Southwest Military Region were transferred to the school. The original school only recruited the children of local cadres of the organs directly under the Southwest, and changed its name to the People's Primary School of the first level organs in the Southwest. Wang Ronghua, Liu Bocheng's wife, was appointed as the school council members. In 1952, the Southwest Military Region set up Bayi Primary School (the school for cadre children of the Southwest Military Region was merged with Chongqing Primary School to become Chongqing People's Primary School in Sichuan Province after the revocation of the Southwest Bureau in 1955. With the efforts of Marshal He Long, two student dormitories (now five-star buildings) and two teaching buildings (the original south and north teaching buildings) were built in 1952. In 53, the canteen, rain proof playground and playground were built, covering an area of more than 60 mu, so far the campus facilities are basically complete.
In 1956, in accordance with the Central Committee's instruction on canceling the school for children of cadres, it was changed to a regular primary school. In addition to recruiting children of cadres, it began to recruit students locally, and children of nearby workers and residents could enter the school.
In 1960, Chongqing Renmin Primary School became one of the primary schools directly under Chongqing Municipal Education Commission.
On July 16, 2015, Chongqing Renmin Primary School was transferred to Yuzhong District Education Committee for management.
