Introduction to the International Curriculum Center of Sichuan International Studies University
The International College of Sichuan International Studies University and the Overseas Training Department of Sichuan International Studies University jointly work, referred to as "one department, one institute" for short.
Founded in 2005, the International College has gone through two stages: the International Education Center (2005) and the Institute of International Education (2008). It will be renamed "International College" by the end of 2020. In the same year, the teaching section of the International Student Department of the former Sichuan International Studies University was incorporated. The college has carried out overseas training for 16 years, with nearly 5000 students. In July 2020, Sichuan International Studies University and the Overseas Study Service Center of the Ministry of Education established a comprehensive strategic partnership to carry out cooperation in the fields of studying abroad, studying in China and running schools abroad. Under this framework, International College is the only implementation unit of Sichuan International Studies University's overseas study training program.
At present, the International College has a Sino foreign cooperative school running project, that is, the Sino French 4+0 Logistics Management Undergraduate Education Project approved by the Ministry of Education (approval number: MOE50FR2A20212158N, professional code: 120601H, which is jointly organized by Sichuan University and Strasbourg University in France); There are two types of comprehensive strategic cooperation overseas study training programs with the Overseas Study Service Center of the Ministry of Education. One is the 2+2 program, and the other is the program of one year or less, involving 8 languages and 12 programs; At the same time, the International College provides undergraduate education in Chinese language and literature and Chinese language training for international students in China. In addition, the College has set up Chongqing Cervantes Language Center, Russian Center, Italian Center and other Chinese and foreign language and cultural education institutions, overseas examination centers, and study abroad consulting services Co., Ltd. to provide students with foreign language training, foreign language examination, study abroad consulting, school application and other comprehensive services.
Established in 1979, the Overseas Training Department is one of the 11 training departments for overseas students directly under the Ministry of Education. After more than 40 years of continuous cultivation and innovation, the Overseas Training Department has established a complete short-term foreign language intensive training system to provide students and individual foreign language learners selected by universities, research institutes, enterprises and institutions with comprehensive skills training in eight languages of different categories and levels, special purpose foreign language training Foreign language examination and intercultural communication course training for studying abroad. Over the past 40 years, about 60000 students have met and grown up in the training community outside Sichuan, and formed a strong "song music relationship".
"One department and one hospital" has 55 teaching staff, including 42 full-time teachers and 13 administrative staff. Among the full-time teachers, there are 5 professors, 14 teachers who have doctoral degrees or are studying for doctoral degrees, and all full-time foreign language teachers have overseas study background.
Adhering to the open and inclusive school running philosophy, the college is committed to integrating high-quality educational resources, building an international talent training base, and promoting educational exchanges between China and foreign countries.
