Introduction to Chongqing Yaozhong International School
Chongqing Yaozhong International School, founded in 2001, is the first international school registered with the approval of the Ministry of Education in Chongqing. It aims to provide high-quality international education for children (3-18 years old) of foreigners, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan people in Chongqing. The school system covers kindergarten, primary school and secondary school (IGCSE&IBDP). The school is affiliated to Hong Kong Yaozhong educational institution, and is a sister school with Hong Kong Yaozhong, Shanghai Yaozhong, Beijing Yaozhong, Qingdao Yaozhong and Silicon Valley Yaozhong in the United States. Chongqing Yaozhong International School is located in the international campus area of Liangjiang New District, Chongqing. The modern and multi-functional school buildings also provide strong support for its comprehensive education projects.
Chongqing Yaozhong International School receives children of foreigners coming to Chongqing to study. It is an important platform for Chongqing to solve the education problems of children of foreign experts, staff members coming to China, and expatriates.
In September 2017, the expansion project of Chongqing Yaozhong International School was started, and the whole expansion project is expected to be completed in 2019. The new school building design introduced the American International Design Company FNI. In October 2021, the expansion project of Chongqing Yaozhong International School in Liangjiang New Area has been completed and put into use.
Chongqing Yaozhong International School Teaching Team
Yaozhong gathers the essence of Eastern and Western cultures with its unique dual principals and dual teacher system. We employ senior foreign teachers from English speaking countries, including Britain, New Zealand, Australia and North America; Chinese teachers also have excellent qualifications, rich teaching experience and international perspective. In general, more than 50% of teachers in Yaozhong have more than 5 years of teaching experience, 18% have a master's degree or higher, and 16% have additional professional qualifications, such as IB training and IGCSE training.
